Welcome to Heron House

Nestled in the small fishing village of Cellardyke lies Heron House, a charming 3 bedroom self-catering cottage. With sea views and comfortable surroundings it is the ideal base from which to explore the East Neuk and St Andrews, Fife.

Perfect for families or a group of friends Heron House is a 5 minute walk from all the local amenities and a 15 minute drive from St Andrews.  Take a lazy stroll through Cellardyke’s quaint streets and soak up the atmosphere of the East Neuk.

Cellardyke harbour dates from the 16th Century and was a popular port for the Herring Fishing Fleets.  On a sunny day you can sit on a bench and admire the glorious view out to sea.  You will even spy the local residents' washing hanging out along the harbour walls. Or venture into Anstruther to enjoy award-winning fish and chips. Be prepared to queue but it’s worth the wait.

For the adventurous Heron House is perfectly positioned for the East Fife Coastal Path, the Millennium Cycle Path or a trip to the world renowned Isle of May bird sanctuary.  We are very lucky to have some phenomenal beaches on our doorstep and a wealth of walks to choose from. You can’t really forget to mention golf which Fife is more than famous for.

We are also fortunate to have a family-friendly pub several doors down George Street so you can wander home at your leisure.

Please enjoy browsing our site and we hope to welcome you soon.
